Whimsicalmom, aka Candace Huber, is the original creator of Onawhim. Candace created Onawhim to help moms and
kids find amazing art and artists on the internet. Her goal
was to create a positive, and inspiring place for families
to come for fun. That is exactly what she accomplished with Onawhim.
Although, designing Onawhim was a passionate and pleasurable creation for Candace, life dictated that she move on. In May of 2004, Candace turned over the care of Onawhim to Jeremy Strausser of http://www.workathomecommunity.com. Jer has done a great job in taking care of the workathomecommunity.com and Candace believes that he can do the same thing with Onawhim. Candace can now be found at Speckled Hen Media where she is whipping up dynamic graphic designs for clients worldwide.

Candace's art training started as a kid doodling on paper. Then she progressed to finger paints and collage. Eventually she worked her way up to decorating sweatshirts, furniture, and whatever she could get her hands on. Candace never really took herself seriously as an artists until she gave birth to her third child. It was at that time, that she began to dabble in digital art, web design, clipart, greeting cards, and animations.
Finding she had an unbelievable passion for digital art, Candace pursued a career in Visual Communications. Candace will recieve her Bachelors in Visual Communications in October 2004 from American Intercontinental University. At AIU, Candace was trained in typography, illustration, web design, multimedia, animation, photo manipulation, and design theory utilizing the latest technology. Visit Candace at Speckled Hen Media to find out how she is putting her education to good use.
