Brrrr, it's cold out there. Too cold for your kids to go outside to play, so what's a mother to do? Invite the snow inside to play. That's right, snow doesn't need to stay outside. Go ahead and fill up bowls with fresh white snow and bring it inside. You'll feel great knowing that your kids are enjoying the snow and their little hands and faces are staying warm. To really make things fun, top your kids creations with a scrumptious blueberry dressing that tastes Yummy!

P.S. If you don't have any snow you can use crushed iced instead.

Yummy Blueberry Snow People:

Snow or Ice
Frozen Blueberries
Real Maple Syrup or Sugar
Water

Instructions:

Blueberry Sauce

Before you begin creating snow sculptures or snow people, you need to make the blueberry sauce. Because this sauce is cooked on the stove, you need to let it cool in the refrigerator before you pour on your snow sculptures. If you don't cool it then it will melt the snow.

1) Take 1/2 cup blueberries and place in sauce pan.

2) Add 1 Tablespoon sugar or maple syrup.

3) Add two Tablespoons of water.

4) Let this sauce cook on a low heat until the blueberries are soft.

5) Mash the sauce with a potatoes masher or blend in a blender. You will have flakes of blueberry skin in the mix. That is normal.

6) Let cool and place in the refrigerator to bring the temperature down even more. You can also place this in the freezer but don't let it freeze!

Snow Sculptures:

You need to be quick when making edible snow sculptures because these will melt on you if you take too long.

1) Bring snow inside or take ice cubes and grind them into snow with blender or food processor.

2) Let your kids sculpt little balls to create snowmen or anything they want.

3) Let them cover their creations with blueberry sauce and eat their creation.

4) Or add extra items like blueberry eyes, an orange rind mouth, and raison buttons and then eat...um um good! Don't forget to take pictures!

This creative edible is so simple and easy to make. Your kids will love playing with snow inside. Plus, you'll love knowing that they are getting extra water in their bodies and using their minds. What's more, you can do this anytime of year. It would be tons of fun to have a summer snow party in July or back to school snow extravaganza. The possibilities are endless. Enjoy. We did!

YUMMY!
